Abstract

This article was written during the first year of Javier Milei's libertarian government. Throughout these months, alongside (or as a pretext for) a policy of budgetary adjustments to the public university system unprecedented since 1983, he has found countless opportunities to make known to the public (or at least to that segment of the public that consumes news from the so-called "social networks" where the president usually shares his views) his conviction that in these institutions there is, is practiced (we, the teachers, it would seem, practice) what both he and his vice president and several high-ranking officials in his administration have chosen to call "indoctrination." The word has an ostensibly negative connotation, as it is often used to suggest intentional, partial, biased teaching, an introduction or a desire to introduce into the virginal heads of children who know what inappropriate or at least suspicious content. We will propose a brief detour for the readers of these speculations to discuss this issue.
