Abstract

This text examines  "the nature of the "testimonial narrative" in literature, contrasting it with fiction and political engagement. It focuses on the work of Rodolfo Walsh, particularly his investigation of "Operation Massacre", to illustrate how his work "challenges traditional categories" between journalism, literature, and politics. The author argues that Walsh employs"a new mode of textual production" that fuses elements of journalistic investigation, narrative, and political statement. The discussion explores "how "Letters" and "Photos" demonstrate a "thematic and linguistic shift", complicating the understanding of reality and history in Argentine literature. In essence, it is argued that "testimony not only narrates facts", but also "reconfigures meaning" and the relationship between the writer, the text, and society.
