Epochal malaise and its impact on childhood and adolescence:
between precariousness, boredom, and the search for meaning
Keywords:
Epochal malaise, Childhood and adolescence, interdisciplinary contributions;, comprehensive understandingAbstract
Contemporary malaise, characterized by the precariousness of life, pressure to perform,
and the fragmentation of social ties, is not a phenomenon that affects only adults.
Childhood and adolescence are also deeply impacted by this epochal malaise, manifesting in symptoms such as boredom, anxiety, apathy, and school dropouts, among others. This article seeks to explore how this malaise influences young people, integrating interdisciplinary contributions that allow for a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. Through this approach, we aim to analyze how current social, economic, and cultural conditions shape the subjectivity of the new generations, in order to provide tools that allow us to accompany and care for them more effectively, both in the
educational and clinical fields, in their search for meaning
