Abstract

This article analyzes how Communication students at the University of Buenos Aires and General Sarmiento University accessed study materials during the period of virtual classes implemented in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The study examines preferences for reading materials on screens versus accessing materials in print during periods of stricter lockdown measures, and explores how these preferences are influenced by students' social and digital inequalities. The findings highlight that reading materials on screens can pose a potential barrier to higher education for some students, exacerbating existing disparities in access to education.
