Abstract

This research paper addresses the need to establish indicators for evaluating the activities of the International Relations Office (ORI) at the Universidad Nacional Arturo Jauretche (UNAJ). Internationalization is key to the competitiveness and development of universities and therefore requires tools that facilitate the monitoring of its impact. Unlike traditional indicators, this study proposes a set of context-specific indicators, aligned with the cultural and socio-economic characteristics of the region, acknowledging the importance of making visible the activities that shape Latin American culture to demonstrate the outcomes of the pursued objectives. Through an internal survey disseminated among members of the university community—preliminary results of which are presented in the annex—this study aims to build a measurement system that integrates both quantitative and qualitative aspects, promoting a solidarity-based, inclusive, and sustainable internationalization. This effort aligns with UNAJ’s Strategic Plan and will allow for comparisons over different periods and the optimization of UNAJ’s internationalization process.
