Abstract

This article analyzes the editorial trend of the political magazine Redacción under General Jorge Videla, first president of the military dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983), whose government was
characterized by the state terrorism, the economy defined by Minister José Martínez de Hoz and the permanent debate on the political future of the so called "National Reorganization Process". The work will focus on the magazine ́s statements in this area, considering it was a prevalent topic of its editorials and top articles. The main issues were the "political proposal" of the government, the "dialogue" among civilians and the military and the terms of the "adult democracy” that Armed Forces promised to deliver as its legacy.
