In this article, we invite you to explore and reflect on interculturality in physical education teacher
training in the province of Río Negro (Argentina). We share an initial analysis from the perspective of
the curriculum's prescriptive framework, as well as its actual implementation based on the perspectives
of those who manage the program. This work is part of a doctoral research project.
Specifically, the institutions relevant to our research topic are the National University of Comahue
(UNCO) and the Institute for Continuing Teacher Training in Physical Education (Viedma). We
conducted the research using an interpretive qualitative approach, which involved document analysis
and semi-structured interviews with those who direct and coordinate the programs at each institution.
In this paper, we first share theoretical and conceptual approaches, followed by an initial analysis of the
curriculum documents, triangulated by the perspectives of those who manage the program in question.
Due to space limitations, this paper will focus on the physical education teacher training program at
UNCo.
