Factores que influyen en la adopción e implementación exitosa de la tecnología BC Mitos, sesgos y realidades

Abstract
La tecnología Blockchain (BC) tiene potencial para diversos sectores al ejecutar transacciones de manera verificable e irreversible mientras funciona como un libro mayor distribuido que permite intercambiar valor entre iguales. Sin embargo, la adopción organizacional de tecnología BC es una tarea desafiante, pues hay muchos prejuicios y malentendidos. La tecnología ofrece un enorme potencial, pero para que sus posibilidades se vuelvan más tangibles es indispensable abordar los mitos y sesgos más relevantes.
De la revisión de la literatura surge que la BC es una disciplina emergente. No obstante, se evidencian hallazgos que explican las implicaciones en los negocios internacionales, criptomonedas, procesos comerciales y modelos de negocios. Sin embargo, el estado del arte relacionado a analizar las percepciones respecto de la tecnología de la BC es escaso y aún no ha sido explorado en profundidad.
En este documento se revisan conceptos básicos e impulsores de valor para dar al lector una comprensión fundacional sobre las características singulares de las BCs. Se discute y analiza la bibliografía relevante sobre los principales factores y barreras percibidas relacionados con la intención de adopción e implementación organizacional exitosa de tecnología BC. El objetivo del presente documento es examinar las percepciones sobre la tecnología BC desde diferentes perspectivas, matices y agentes económicos. Se consideran los mitos y realidades para detectar los sesgos y fallas subjetivas del decisor.
Este estudio hace una contribución original a la BC explorando las apreciaciones de los ejecutivos expertos en el campo. A su vez, se discute sobre los sesgos cognitivos para evaluar embarcarse en proyectos basados en BC. Por su parte, el aporte práctico del documento es de utilidad para los líderes organizacionales que buscan implementar la BC en un caso de uso real.
