The following essay is part of the PI V121 Research Project "Adolescences on the Edge of the Present: Psychoanalysis, Institutions, and the Pandemic." Directed by B.C. and Prof. Marina La Vecchia and co-directed by Dr. Gabriel Pavelka (CURZAS-UNCo), the essay will address topics such as: the subject as a result of the law, the effects of crime on the subject, subjective assent, among others, which allow us to think about the subject in the present, in culture and institutions in a unique way, addressing the challenges inherent to the future of our society. Offering a primordial perspective and place for adolescents. The journey will include vignettes taken from practice that, in conjunction with the psychoanalytic theoretical framework, will lead to a reading that will be intertwined with a point of its own singularity, allowing us, in terms of Lacanian praxis (1964), to approach reality through the symbolic. We will explore the importance of subjective assent in adolescents who have transgressed the law—in the case at hand, a homicidal act—using psychoanalytic concepts such as subject, Other, law,
transference, act, among others.
The vignette is based on the case of an adolescent who was housed in Hogar A. Pagano between 2005-2007.
