Presencia indígena en la territorialidad turística de Neuquén: reflexiones desde la investigación para la actualización profesional

Abstract

El siguiente artículo es parte de la línea de
investigación abordada por la autora en el IPEHCS
CONICET UNCO, y de reflexiones y hallazgos en
el marco del proyecto de investigación1 de la
Facultad de Turismo, que fueron plasmadas en
la VIII Jornadas de Actualización Profesional
del CETRIP Año 2025. El propósito del trabajo
se basa en presentar algunas trayectorias de
territorialización del pueblo mapuce en espacios
turísticos del área andina de Neuquén a partir de
la conjugación de la territorialidad turística y la
territorialidad indígena ancestral. Se basa en un
enfoque cualitativo que se sostiene desde fuentes
primarias y secundarias. Algunos interrogantes
que guían el trabajo son: ¿Qué papel tiene
el territorio y sus formas de apropiación?
¿Qué lugar ocupa la identidad y sus formas
de manifestación? ¿Qué sucede con el pueblo

mapuce a partir de la implantación del turismo?
Los resultados esbozan que la inserción del
turismo se desenvuelve de manera diversa en los
Lof del pueblo mapuce del área andina, a partir
del acceso a los recursos, la dinámica social y
económica local y su capacidad de agenciamiento
en la construcción/ reproducción de territorios
turísticos

Abstract

The following article is part of the line of research
addressed by the author in the IPEHCS CONICET
UNCO, and of reflections and findings within
the framework of the research project of the
Faculty of Tourism, which were reflected in the
VIII CETRIP Professional Update Conference.
The purpose of the work is based on presenting
some trajectories of territorialization of the
Mapuce people in tourist spaces of the Andean
area of Neuquén based on the conjugation of
tourist territoriality and ancestral indigenous
territoriality. It is based on a qualitative approach
that is based on primary and secondary sources.
Some questions that guide the work are:
What role does the territory and its forms of
appropriation have? What place does identity and
its forms of manifestation occupy? What happens
to the Mapuce people after the implementation of tourism?

The results outline that the insertion tourism develops in a diverse way in the Lof
of the Mapuce people of the Andean area, based
on access to resources, local social and economic
dynamics and their capacity for agency in the
construction/reproduction of tourist territories.
