Abstract

In this paper we intend to understand some contemporary Brazilian and Latinamerican subaltern classes' social struggles, in an attempt to decipher their ability to face the primary export pattern that sets the pace for enhanced accumulation of capital in the continent. Taking a deeper look into some insurgencies, we seek to build an understanding of how subaltern classes move, highlighting the value of the risings emerging in this historical context, from the perspective of their antagonistic expression.
