Breves reflexiones en torno al republicanismo y la constitución nacional

Abstract

This article aims to explicit a series of reflections brings over of the
relation that exists between our National Constitution and the
republicanism. Argentina’s National Constitution’s first article
establishes the republican form of government, but what does this
particular form imply? Which are the scopes of the formula of the first
article? What characteristics has our republic? In what sense can we say
that our nation is a republic? I will try to answer to these questions by
means of a confrontation between constitutional Argentine doctrine’s
opinion and the most typical features of republicanism as philosophical
and political current, in order to determine in what measure it can be
said that we have adopted the republican form of government.
